As a student of the Applied Software Engineering program you will learn how to plan and create reliable and usable software. In addition to experiencing the fundamental aspects of the development lifecycle, you will learn to design effective user interfaces, collaborate with others in teams, and present your work to key stakeholders.

If you are entrepreneurial, interested in programming and marketing, and want to learn how to develop applications for various platforms, including web, mobile, desktop, and server, this degree could be the best fit for you.

  • Co-op Opportunities: This program is designed to provide students with many opportunities for gaining on-the-job experience, through experiential learning initiatives, internships, and co-ops arranged through 51±¬ÁÏÏÂÔØ Career Services. Learn state-of-the-art practices and tools and start building your portfolio by working with local businesses such as ADM, Cinnova Technologies, Evoke Technologies, Fifth Third, Gaslight, Intelligent Media, Kroger, P&G, and Western Southern Insurance.
  • Job Prospects for Today and Tomorrow: The Applied Software Engineering degree is designed for making students competent software engineers, developers, and problem solvers who are technically prepared to meet the demand of the industry. This degree will prepare you for the following roles:
