Program Type: Undergraduate

Department: Political Science, Criminal Justice, and Organizational Leadership

51±¬ÁÏÏÂÔØ’s Pre-Law program was designed for students who are confident in their decision to pursue a law degree once they finish their undergraduate work. You’ll be guided by your advisor who knows the field while completing a degree in any one of our majors. Students frequently major in English, History, Political Science, and Philosophy where they obtain skills in analytical thinking, effective communication, and critical reading. The pre-law minor coursework includes courses from political science, criminal justice, and law, where you will learn from high-rated faculty from the Department of Criminal Justice, Political Science, and Organizational Leadership and from the Chase College of Law. There are numerous opportunities for internships, and your education and the skills you learn at 51±¬ÁÏÏÂÔØ will pave the way for you to obtain a law degree after you finish undergraduate school.

3+3 Accelerated Law Program: The BA in Law also provides the opportunity for an expedited path to law school. In this program, qualified law majors start at the Chase College of Law after their junior year and earn both a bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctor in one year less than normally required. This unique opportunity is the first of its kind and a step toward a successful career, regardless of the path you choose after graduation.
